We’ve made a lot of progress this past month and have finalized the details for the fundraisers planned for this summer.
- If your calendar is free on September 6, dust off those runners and join us at Mitchells Bay for Hard Miles, our 5k walk/run! Click here for details and registration.
- The tractor parade — called “Shifting Gears” — is scheduled to roll through Dawn Euphemia Township again in the summer of 2026. Farming friends and supporters, you have extra time to decide on your ride, and to shine ‘er up!
- The money raised through our fundraisers will support ongoing mental wellness programming for guests when they are staying at the cabin and also following up with them once they return home. Our mental wellness programs are designed and led by our partners at National Farmers Mental Health Alliance, a group of registered therapists who understand the psychological difficulties faced by Farmers and First Responders through lived experience or extensive education. This understanding creates an authentic connection between the therapist and the Farmer or First Responder and is vitally important when building that essential relationship of trust. Programming will also include regular workshops held at the cabin, covering topics related to mental wellbeing. These workshops will be led by registered therapists.
We continue to be amazed at the support we’ve received from individuals, businesses and the community. The generosity shown to us through donations of time, money and materials from so many is humbling and healing.
Together we can make a difference.
We look forward to seeing you in person at the Hard Miles run in September! Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
